She was also a faculty member of City University of Seattle and was for several years on the faculty of the Sedona Arts Center in Sedona, AZ.
...art is a journey of self-discovery as well as a creative journey.
Her main focus is abstract acrylic and collage, and her award-winning art has been shown in a variety of juried and invitational shows, both locally and in Arizona. She is currently represented by Parklane Gallery in Kirkland, WA.
Marne loves working with layers in her work and tries to entice the viewer to look closer and to examine what lies beneath the surface. She is intrigued by interesting combinations of shape, color and texture. For her, the journey is more important than the destination and she pushes the edges in order to express some inner part of her own reality. She believes that art is a journey of self-discovery as well as a creative journey.
